when she saves a life <maybe a Native American child, or maybe an animal> at great risk to herself, and suddenly a ghost appears to her. Isobel Blake, a fearless archeologist with a hint of freckles pushing against her pale skin and black hair, had found herself in the middle of a terrifying situation. She and a group of colleagues were investigating the ruins known as "America's Stonehenge" outside of Salem, NH, when they were taken hostage by a group of bank robbers on the run. The robbers had sought refuge in the ancient stone-lined chambers, their makeshift hideout as they evaded the law.
Isobel's heart raced as she was shoved into the dark, musty chamber, her hands still bound behind her back. She could hear the panicked cries of her colleagues and the ruthless commands of the robbers. But despite the fear that gripped her, Isobel's mind was spinning with a plan.
As a descendant of both Native American and Irish heritage, Isobel had learned to be strong and resilient. She knew that she couldn't just sit back and let these criminals harm her friends and colleagues. And when she overheard their brutal plan to use the children as living shields, then dispose of them later, she knew she had to act fast.
With determination in her eyes, Isobel scanned the chamber for anything that could help her. Her gaze fell upon a small but sharp piece of stone from one of the ancient walls. With quick reflexes, she managed to grab it with her bound hands and use it to cut through the ropes binding her wrists.
Before the robbers could realize what was happening, Isobel launched herself at them with all her might. Despite their weapons, they were caught off guard by this sudden attack from a seemingly helpless hostage.
Isobel's training in self-defense and combat techniques kicked in as she fought fiercely against them. She used every advantage she could find in the chamber - stones for throwing, hidden crevices for surprise attacks - all while trying to avoid being shot.
In a matter of minutes, Isobel had disarmed two of the robbers and gained control of their guns. The other two were quickly overpowered by her skilled maneuvers. As they lay defeated on the ground, Isobel breathed a sigh of relief but didn't let down her guard just yet.
She untied her colleagues and helped them out of their restraints before turning towards the scared children huddled in one corner of the chamber. With soothing words and gentle touches, Isobel assured them that they were safe now.
