Just who are the mighty members of the Legion of Super Teens of Earth PD? What are their mighty powers - and how did they get these powers? And, where can you go for more information on each of them? Note that the history and powers or each of these characters might be somewhat different from what you read in the original Golden Age comics

She was rescued by a hermit treated her exposure with medication. When he discovered that she now had powers, he trained her in the use of those powers. | Amazona is a member of an ancient subterranean civilization from north of the Arctic Circle. There are very few survivors, all of whom have super powers. Super Ann encountered a hermit member of that civilization, who accidentally gave her powers through an advanced medication. She accidentally said the magic words "Heart of Gold" and discovered the secret of the transformation. | Golden Boy came into possession of a golden locket which gives him powers when the holds it and says 'Heart of Gold'. It is likely that he was 'chosen' as a worthy recipient of these powers by the magic of the locket. The locket was enchanted by the Aztecs and the power comes from the spirits of many Aztec people which were captured in the gold. Golden Girl found a piece of that locket, which gives her similar powers. She apparently was similarly chosen by the locket's magic. Apparently the original locket is self-healing, as Tommy has never noticed the missing piece. Peggy has had that missing piece set into a new locket, which appears to be very similar to the original. Neither Tommy or Peggy have powers in their civilian forms. They look the same in their heroic forms, but the magic of the lockets prevents others from recognizing Golden Boy and Golden Girl as Tommy and Peggy. Neither locket will work for anyone other than Peggy and Tommy |

He was treated by Dr. Brown, who gave him a magical healing potion, which saved his life and granted him powers. | Jerry Jones' parents are writers for National Geographic, as well as being international explorers, and were part of an expedition to Tibet. The were visited by the genie Yama Lama Ka-Bang, who told them that their first-born son would be granted great powers by saying his name. When Jerry Jr. reached adolescence, they revealed the secret to him. Dr. Brown was also a member of this Tibetan expedition. He tried to save the life of a dying lama who then gave him a magical healing potion. The 'dying' lama was actually Yama Lama Ka-Bang in disguise. Years later, Dr. Brown used that potion to save Kent Banning's life. |
